Expertly crafted in the heart of Somerset our new Winter Coat is heavily inspired by walks through the countryside, where protection against those classic British elements is an absolute must.

Thoughtfully designed to give maximum protection, without interfering with your dogs movement or senses, our cosy winter coat is a timeless staple piece you can rely on year after year. Boasting a chest panel to prevent muddy splash back, velcro detailing to provide maximum adjustment and multiple popper fastenings to accommodate deeper chests or larger necks if needed. Importantly this jacket is also harness and collar friendly with perfectly positioned slots that cleverly remain covered when not in use, providing maximum protection from the elements.

Completing this unique design our choice of stylish yet functional BCI wax cotton fabric offers all the benefits of a traditional wax without that sticky feel, instead offering a buttery soft aged appearance over time. Meanwhile the sumptuous sherpa lining adds a toasty layer keeping your hound cosy and comfortable. Additionally these carefully selected fabrics mean our Winter Coat is machine washable too, which as we know is super important when it comes to our mucky pups!

Available in carefully curated sizes and 4 core colours these jackets are produced exclusively for us in small batches to reduce waste, and to give them the time and attention they deserve.

Sizing

Sizes marked as ‘L’ indicate our longer style, this includes darts at the back of the coat to create additional shaping for our longer bodied friends, such as (but not limited to) Sighthounds and Dachshunds. Our chest strap measurements are based on velcro overlap, for the perfect fit you will want to be as close to that first number as possible, the additional numbers provide a safe range in which the coat will still fit but will leave some exposed velcro or create a little strap flap. The back length is measured from base of neck to top of the tail. Breed suggestions are for guidance only and not guaranteed to fit.

As our garments are handmade these measurements are approximate and can vary a smidge from time to time.

Care

Wash on a cold or hand wash cycle, do not tumble dry, light iron only if required. When washing for the first time we recommend colour run prevention sheets for jackets with contrasting binding and/or fleece. Any loose fleece fluff can be removed with a lint roller when the coat is dry if necessary. Help to prevent velcro panel losing grip with regular ‘de-fluffing’ as required.

Please note that due to the natural cotton fabric there may be some colour fading (especially with the darker colours). We think this adds to the charm and life story of the jacket but if you’re not so keen do not wash at high temperatures as this may exacerbate the fading. If the coat gets heavily soaked please use a cloth to remove any excess water to help preserve the wax coating. Reproof as required. Although our coats stand up to most British elements they will not survive escapades through Brambles or similar sharp objects so please take care.
